CHIMAR provides technology for impregnation lines consiting of complete systems of Melamine-Formaldehyde and Urea-Formaldehyde syrups and additives suitable for the impregnation of all low pressure paper types, standard, decorative and overlay. The impregnated papers are used for the lamination of particleboard or MDF panels.
CHIMAR's MF syrups contain ingredients that improve the glossiness and plasticity of the paper, thus enabling the use of lighter weight paper. They do not contain any material detrimental to the paper quality and are fully compatible with all the commercially available antifoam, wetting and release agents and hardeners. CHIMAR MF syrups are suitable for single or double impregnation.
CHIMAR provides UF syrups, which can be used in combination with the MF syrups in a double impregnation line, resulting in substantial cost reduction. These grades are specially designed in order to attain lower formaldehyde emission.
CHIMAR has developed a technology for the production of "Liquid Overlay", combining the use of special impregnating syrups, dispersing agents, thixotropic thickeners and fixing agents for the application of abrasive compounds like aluminum oxide on the surface of pure Overlay or Decorative paper or both of them enabling the production of high transparency and controlled wear resistance floorings, desktops, bars and kitchen countertops.
CHIMAR's GNOSSITM technology ensures the consistency of the laminating paper resin pick up, thus resulting in increased line productivity and in improved impregnation paper quality
