In general for the Accreditation
The secureness of reliability and technical competence of a laboratory, is achieved through the accreditation process, which is the formal recognition by a third party and independent national organization, of the laboratory ability to provide specific testing services.
CHIMAR (Chimar Lab) Accreditation Field
The laboratory of CHIMAR HELLAS SA, has been accredited, always in accordance with the requirements of ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 by the National Accreditation System SA (ESYD) on the 27th of October 2010, as a testing laboratory capable of performing tests for the method:“Wood-based panels – Determination of formaldehyde content – Extraction method called the perforator method (EN ISO 120: 1992)”
Due to the recent European and Greek legislative developments and mainly because of the total absence in the Greek Territory of an accredited testing method that could efficiently cover the testing measurements of the whole range of wood-based panels/products, CHIMAR HELLAS proceeded to the purchase of GA 5000 – gas analysis and followed all the necessary expansion procedures of its Official Accreditation Field.
As of January 16th 2013, CHIMAR lab became the first ever Greek Accredited Laboratory performing tests for the method: “Wood-based panels – Determination of formaldehyde release – Formaldehyde release by the gas analysis method (EN ISO 717-2: 1994)” (Certificate Number: 712-2).
The Official Field of the Accreditation Scope is filled by the method of determination of moisture content in Wood-based Panels according to the following method: “Wood-based panels – Determination of moisture content (EN ISO 322:1993)”
The Test Reports being issued by Chimar Lab for all the accredited methods constitute a valuable and necessary asset and sometimes a legislative requirement for the free distribution and promotion of wood-based panels and products WORLDWIDE.
